The current chapter

Enterprise systems, public-interest systems and institutional impact.

Today, three active strands of the work run in parallel: enterprise transformation, public-interest justice and institutional records, and mission-driven programming inside complex public systems.

The domains are different. The method is familiar: understand the system first, establish the record, identify what is fragmented or missing, connect the right people and information, and build something that can survive real-world use.

ACI, LLC

Enterprise transformation and strategic advisory

Principal · 2021–present

ACI carries forward the enterprise side of the work: complex platform transitions, regulated environments, technical and operational risk, and decisions where architecture, data, investment and business continuity have to be considered together.

Current advisory work includes planning the replacement of an FDA-regulated enterprise data platform ahead of vendor end-of-life, connecting legacy economics, future-state requirements, transition risk and implementation strategy. AI and emerging tools are used where useful, with source validation and accountable human judgment kept for consequential decisions.

Athena Justice Initiative

Institutional records, justice systems and AI-assisted evidence architecture

Using technology and structured research to make complex legal and government records understandable, traceable and usable.

Founder and director · 2021–present

Athena applies systems and information-architecture methods to complex public-interest legal matters: paralegal-level legal research, institutional-record analysis, public-record development, evidence organization, chronology construction, comparative research and counsel support across fragmented court, corrections, parole, prosecutorial and administrative records.

A central concern is information integrity: where a consequential institutional record came from, how it changed, what contradicts it, what downstream decisions rely on it, and where qualified human review is required. AI is used as a research and analytical tool—not as an authority—alongside primary-source verification, traceability, structured evidence and human accountability.

Pathways for L.I.F.E.

Board leadership, communications and institutional programs

Director of Communications and board member · 2021–present

Board-level strategic leadership for a nonprofit delivering programs within a complex state institutional environment, supporting program development, communications, governance, stakeholder alignment and cross-organizational initiatives.

The work extends the same systems discipline into a deeply human setting. Institutions are not only technology, process and data. They are people, rules, incentives, relationships, constraints and missions, and meaningful change has to work across all of them.

Selected current work

Writing and program development. Research, editorial and structural support for a book on restorative justice, alongside trauma-informed educational and program-development work.

Different systems. Same discipline: understand what is actually there, connect what belongs together, and build forward from evidence rather than assumption.
